My journey to becoming a transformational life coach…
Hi, I’m Laura, and I’m so excited to share a bit about how I got here, working with incredible people like you to create meaningful and nourishing lives.
It’s been a journey (to say the least!) I’ve always been fascinated by people, what motivates us, how we make choices, and how we grow and change. But it took me some time to realise that working with individuals, rather than systems or businesses, was for me.
It all started back at university, where I studied geography. I was particularly drawn to the human side of things, how people interact with the world and each other. That curiosity led me to complete a master’s degree in Sustainability, where I explored human behaviour and change around sustainability. It was so interesting to dive into these ideas, but the work I found myself doing afterward was mostly about systems, not people. Something felt…off.

So, I decided to try something new. I’ve always been passionate about seeing the world, so I took the leap and started my own online business in strategy, management, and marketing. It was an amazing five-year adventure that taught me so much about running a business and allowed me to work from anywhere. I loved the freedom, the creativity, and the challenge.
But once again, I found myself focusing more on the business than on the people behind it. Something was still missing.
That’s when I took a step back and gave myself the space to really think about what lights me up. I kept coming back to one thing: people. I’m endlessly fascinated by how different we all are, how we grow, and how we navigate life’s twists and turns. That’s when the idea of becoming a life coach came into view.
To be honest, it wasn’t something I’d considered before—I wasn’t even sure it was “me.” But the more I researched, the more I realised that coaching was exactly what I’d been looking for all along. It combines my passion for understanding people with the opportunity to create meaningful change, one person at a time.
